LEWIS FUREY

Despite his classical training, it is as a pop singer that Canadian Lewis Furey became known during the '70s and '80s. He eventually stopped performing while still using his talent as a composer for the benefit of his wife, actress and singer Carole Laure. Their collaboration led to some outstanding shows and several albums. Furey has also directed films, notably the musical Night Magic in 1985, co-written with Leonard Cohen. Based in Paris since the late '70, Furey has devoted a great deal of time and creativity to directing musicals, including the successful Starmania written by Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon.
