Launched in 1994, Disques Cinémusique (DCM) has been a mail order outlet for soundtracks on compact disc until 2000, when the company reoriented its efforts to the restoration and transfer of analog recordings to the digital medium.

In July 2002, we started producing film music CDs on the Disques Cinémusique label. We are proud to have issued or reissued some of the best scores of Canadian and European movies, from the golden age to today.

Followed in September 2004, a series of new recordings of scores by Georges Delerue, most never published before on digital support. This exciting experience led us to explore a different but complementary repertoire.

Thus DCM Classique, a new affiliated label, launched in September 2006, is. devoted to concert music written by composers who have made themselves famous first for their contribution for the screen, and to new arrangements of film music for the concert hall as well.

More than ever, our goal is to widen the audience for these

composers of the screen by showing other facets of their talent.
